Ceramic Coating Applied With Precision — Not Shortcuts

We Protect Your Investment.

At Freedom Auto Detailing and Ceramic Coatings, we couldn't be more proud of our work and the details we pay attention to in order to provide the best ceramic coating for the job - whether it's a car or an aircraft. Every vehicle is inspected, properly prepared, and protected with a coating that matches the vehicle, the owner’s goals, and real-world driving conditions.

Below, you’ll find answers written directly by the installer — explaining what ceramic coating is, how long it lasts, what maintenance looks like, and what to expect long after installation.

What Is a Ceramic Coating?

A ceramic coating (SiO2 or silicon dioxide quartz) is a chemical polymer solution that is applied to the exterior of a vehicle to protect it from external paint damage. Typically applied by hand, it bonds and cross-links with the clear coat of your vehicle’s paint to create an additional hydrophobic layer of protection.

Unlike a standard exterior detailing, due to the chemical bonding and nano-structure of a ceramic coating it does not break down like wax or sealant. Instead, it provides a flexible yet extremely durable sacrificial layer that can last for years with proper maintenance.

Detailing and ceramic coating services are always performed by inspection. We take the time to explain what your vehicle needs, what it doesn’t, and why — so you can make an informed decision.

How Long Will Ceramic Coating Last & Is It Worth It?

Durability depends on the ceramic coating you choose for your vehicle. Freedom Auto Detailing and Ceramic Coatings offers a range of ceramic coatings designed to protect your investment from 1 to 7 years.

Choosing the right ceramic coating depends on your goals, your budget, and how the vehicle is used. With multiple coating options available, there is a solution that balances durability, gloss, water and environmental protection, ease of maintenance, and long-term performance.

Do I Need to Do Anything After My Vehicle Is Coated?

✅ Yes — maintenance is crucial to keeping your ceramic coating performing at its best. Freedom Auto Detailing and Ceramic Coatings offers semi-annual and annual maintenance packages, with semi-annual maintenance recommended for Northeast Ohio conditions.

Ceramic coatings take a beating from salt, environmental fallout, temperature changes, and unpredictable weather. That’s why every ceramic coating client goes home with a bottle of pH-neutral shampoo and a ceramic quick detail spray to safely maintain the coating between visits.

What If Part of the Ceramic Coating Isn’t Performing?

Don’t worry. This is often caused by surface contamination or buildup and usually means the ceramic coating is doing its job — protecting the clear coat like a “bulletproof vest” before damage reaches the paint.

Watching for areas that lose gloss, stop beading water, look flat, or stay dirty longer is the best indicator that it’s time to call. If the coating is breaking down and maintenance has been followed, it is reapplied or touched up at no additional cost.

What If My Vehicle Is in an Accident?

First, we hope this never happens — and if it does, we hope everyone is safe. If repairs or repainting are required, simply contact the shop. Most insurance companies must return a vehicle to pre-accident condition.

Freedom Auto Detailing and Ceramic Coatings provides original invoices and documentation for polishing, preparation, and ceramic coating reapplication. If repainting is required, new paint must cure for 30 days before coating to prevent bubbling, cracking, or premature failure.
